You’re out for dinner with your significant other. The night is going well, until it isn’t. A group of aggressive individuals approaches. Words turn to threats, and one of them rushes you. Your hand goes to your concealed pistol. You draw to defend yourself, only to realize you have just 8 rounds and three attackers.
Are you accurate enough to incapacitate those threats with fewer than 3 rounds each?

About the Course
Viking 6 Tactical is hosting a 4-Hour Defensive Pistol & Trauma Care Course at Ares Training Facility designed to prepare you for real-world encounters where your skill, mindset, and gear will all be put to the test.
This isn’t a static paper-punching class, it’s high-intensity, stress-induced training combined with life-saving medical skills. We train like lives depend on it, because they do.
Part 1 – Stop the Bleed: Tourniquet & Pressure Bandage Training
Before we hit the range, we start with essential trauma care:
How to apply a tourniquet correctly and quickly.
How to use pressure bandages to control life-threatening bleeding.
Situational considerations for self-aid and buddy-aid.
Whether from an accident, a violent encounter, or an unforeseen emergency, these skills can make the difference between life and death.
Part 2 – Defensive Pistol Fundamentals (Real-World Focus)
On the range, you’ll put your EDC pistol through its paces in scenarios you can’t replicate in your living room:
Holster Draws – Smooth, safe, and efficient from concealment. You can use you inside the waistband (IWB) holsters for the stress portion of this course. During train up and drills we require an outside the waistband (OWB) holster.
Multiple Target Engagements – Transitioning between threats quickly and accurately.
Accuracy Under Stress – Hitting when your heart rate is up and the clock is ticking.
Friendly Target Awareness – Shooting with good judgment to avoid collateral damage.
Distance Shooting – Testing your pistol’s capability and your own skill at realistic engagement ranges.
